Yogyakarta, May 21, 2025 — In the spirit of strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education while paving the way towards international academic collaboration, the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung carried out a benchmarking activity to FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Wednesday (5/21).


The activity, which took place at 10:00 WIB in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the FEBI Building, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, was part of the strategy for institutional development and expansion of cross-campus collaborative networks, both at the national and global levels. The FEBI UIN Tulungagung group was officially welcomed by the leadership of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga, namely Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., ACPA as Dean, Dr. Sunaryati, S.E., M.Si. (Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development), Dr. K.H. M. Yazid Affandi (Vice Dean II for General Administration, Planning, and Finance), as well as heads of study programs, secretaries of study programs, and lecturers, including Dr. Darmawan, M.Sc., Head of Sharia Financial Management Study Program.
In the forum which took place enthusiastically and collaboratively, both parties discussed various strategic aspects related to strengthening institutional capacity, optimizing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum, and opportunities for international research and publication collaboration. The Dean of FEBI UIN Tulungagung in his remarks emphasized the importance of benchmarking as a means of institutional reflection and innovation. “We are here not only to see the good practices implemented at FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga, but also to explore the possibility of cross-campus academic collaboration, both nationally and internationally, especially in the fields of joint research, lecturer and student exchanges, and strengthening community service networks that have a broad impact,” he said.


FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga also conveyed various strategic initiatives that have been carried out in establishing global partnerships, including cooperation with universities in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe. This has become a separate inspiration for FEBI UIN Tulungagung in developing future internationalization strategies. In addition, the dialogue session also discussed faculty governance, the development of superior study programs based on Islamic characteristics and sustainable economics, as well as a model for student involvement in international-scale research and community service-based projects. This benchmarking activity was closed with a friendly session and exchange of souvenirs as a symbol of friendship and commitment to continued cooperation between faculties. With this benchmarking, FEBI UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung emphasized its real steps to continue moving forward, strengthening the quality of Islamic higher education, and being ready to build a collaborative network towards more inclusive and impactful global standards.
